Shivani Desai, commonly known as Rashmi Desai, is an Indian actress and dancer. She is best known for playing the role of Tapasya Raghuvendra Pratap Rathore in the TV serial “Uttaran”.

Rashmi Desai Biography
Rashmi Desai was born on Thursday, 13 February 1986 in Nagaon, Assam. His father’s name is Ajay Desai. His mother Rasila Desai is a teacher.
She did her schooling from JB Khot Primary School in Mumbai and later Rashmi did a diploma in Tours and Travels from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai.
Rashmi married her Uttaran co-star Nandish Sandhu on 12 February 2012 in Dholpur. In 2014, they separated, and in 2015, the two divorced after almost four years of marriage.
In 2019, she participated in Bigg Boss 13, where Arhaan Khan proposed to her and Desai accepted the offer.
But later, Salman Khan revealed that Arhaan was previously married and had a child which he hid from Desai. Desai broke up with Arhaan after coming out of the Bigg Boss house in 2020.

Rashmi Desai started her acting career in the year 2002 by playing a small role in the Assamese film “Kanyadan”.
Rashmi Desai started her Bollywood career with the 2004 romantic mystery film “Yeh Lamhe Judaai Ke” directed by Birendra Nath Tiwari alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Raveena Tandon.
In the film, she played the role of Sheetal, a college student whose elder sister is murdered.
Subsequently, she appeared in ‘B Grade’ Bhojpuri films such as “Balma Bada Naadan,” “Gajab Bhai Ram,” “Gabbar Singh,” “Kangana Khanke Piya Ke Angana,” “Pappu Ke Pyaar Ho Gel,” and “Tose Pyaar Ba” ”
In 2012, Rashami played a special role in the Bollywood film “Dabangg 2”.
In the year 2017, she made her debut in the Gujarati film industry with the film “Superstar”, in which she played the role of ‘Anjali Kapadia’.

Rashmi Desai started her television career in the year 2006 with the TV serial “Raavan”, in which she played the role of ‘Mandodari’.

In 2015, Rashami participated in the dance reality show “Nach Baliye 7” with her then husband Nandish Sandhu.

Controversy
Rashmi sparked a controversy for her deteriorating relationship with her then husband Nandish Sandhu. She had told in an interview that Sandhu had insulted her and abused her for 3 years.
Rashmi accused the website India Forum of spreading rumours that point to her and present a negative image of her in the public. During an interview, he said-
“You know there is a website called India Forum. They are handling Nandish’s PR and I have no problem but they are giving one-sided stories on behalf of Nandish.
I never felt the need to explain myself or my relationship to anyone – but there are all kinds of rumours that point me out and claim that Nandish is completely innocent. ”
During her visit to Nach Baliye 7, Rashami revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage. However, her husband had told in an interview that Rashmi had never conceived.
