Chetan Bhagat was born on April 22, 1971, in Delhi, India. He has also received the Zee Cine Award for Best Story. He is known for his very famous novels in the English language. He also writes columns on youth, career development and current affairs, as well as articles in The Times of India and Dainik Bhaskar from time to time. His father’s name was Srinivasa Iyengar, who was an army officer. Mother’s name was Komaltammal, who was a government employee in the Agriculture Department.

Chetan Bhagat is said to have completed his early education at Sena Public School (1978-1991) in Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi, after which he completed his engineering degree in IIT. He completed his post-graduation from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, after which he went to Hong Kong to work in a bank, worked there for the new year, then came to India and emerged as a poet writer and novelist. It is said in the study days that Chetan Bhagat wrote a novel on the story of three boys in IIT Delhi Hospital, named ‘Five Points Someone Who Not To Do At I.I.T’, this novel was quite popular.

Today Chetan Bhagat has become the author of the best-selling novels in India. He has written books like Five Point Some (2004), One Night @ The Call Center (2005), The 3 Mistakes of My Life (2008), 2 States (2009), Revolution 2020 (2011), What Young India Wants (2012), Half Girlfriend (2014) and Making India Awesome (2015). It’s also very popular online. Bollywood films have also been made on his four books, the names of the films are Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots, Kai Po Che!, 2 States and Hello.
In 2008, the New York Times named Chetan Bhagat as “the best-selling English-language novelist in Indian history”, with the Times magazine also naming bhagat as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. He started his screenplay career with Salman Khan’s film Kick in the year 2014.
Chetan Bhagat has also been the judge of Voice of India star anchor hunt, he once hosted 7 RCR on ABP News, which was shown on 11 January 2014, in this program, he was told about the biographies of India’s Prime Minister candidate. His books five point someone, One Night at the Call Center and The Three Mistakes of My Life, whose Hindi adaptation was sold a lot in the market, are said to have sold more than thirty thousand in a month.
